I'm not sure what that would be…but if anyone can find a perfect hit for me, that would be a great favor ^^
I don't know if you can call this a disease. It's more of a condition. When I had hypertension I had all these problems. They're all inter-related and feed off each other.
I know a single treatment that might handle all these and that's slow breathing. It relaxes, relieves anxiety, improves sleep and it's clinically proven to lower high blood pressure.

I’m looking for any information on Social Anxiety Disorder or any help from people who suffer from it, or information on varying cures. Also, if anyone knows any good websites giving additional info or group support, please let me know.
Also, if anyone has experience with being put on benzodiazepines, information on the effectiveness and personal experiences with them would be extremely useful.
There is a huge amount of information available on the Web about Social Anxiety Disorder. Check out my previous "best answer" to a similar question:

Regarding the use of benzodiazepines, I do have personal experience and opinions about them. I believe them to be:
1. VERY effective in lowering anxiety, there are also known as tranquilizers.
2. Useful as a short-term measure and as a last resort if anxiety levels reach unbearable levels, or if sleep is not possible.
3. Highly addictive, and may do more harm than good long term if you
do not address the SA directly with therapy and/or SSRI's.
In short, it is very easy and tempting to rely on tranquilizers, using them as a "crutch", and then never learning to "walk" with out them. Avoid their "regular" usage, you can, and if you must use them, be very careful…
Good luck on your healing journey. You CAN do it!

I know that working out helps because of the release of endorphines, But I am talking about quick relief that will last when you have just hit a wall that you cant seem to get over. good breathing techniques? tai chi? I am not sure when you people get this way whst works for you? keep in mind that I do suffer from severe anxiety and it is getting seriously old. I just want to be able to get in under control for day to day activities and just feeling normal when I get stressed instead of want to sit and watch movies all day. Please dont say anything about doctors or medication cause I have done my research and know that anxiety is a behavioral issue within the subconsious brain sending the anxious feelings to the consious brain. I just want some tips or Ideas on how to really relax when I get tense in situations that should not make me tense. Thanks
Here are some steps to take to help control stress and anxiety in your life:
1. Love yourself. Realize that you are valuable regardless of the opinions of others. Practice self-reliance.
2. Love everyone else. Show everyone around you love regardless of what they think about you. Do not dislike anyone. Do not dislike anyone’s behavior. Don’t require anyone change their behavior. Love them regardless of their actions.
3. As you become a warm and loving person, you will notice other people being drawn to you. Remember, the earth revolves around the sun, not pluto.
4. Be in control of your life. Your life belongs to you. The people around you do not have control. Your circumstances do not have control. Your environment does not have control. You have control.
5. Here is a good exercise to do before you go to sleep. It will help improve your sleep and cause you to feel more in control. Lay in your bed and find a comfortable position. Laying on your back usually works the best for this exercise. Start by telling your feet, “Toes go to sleep and rest. Feet go to sleep and rest.” Then tell your legs, “Calves go to sleep and rest. Knees go to sleep and rest. Thighs go to sleep and rest.” Take a few moments to tell this to each body part, moving from your toes to your shoulders, and then down your arms. Finally, do this exercise with your head and face but leave your mind awake. As you do this exercise you will feel each body part relax and rest. Once you have finished this exercise imagine a box in your mind. It needs to be a box with a lid and a lock. Individually, take everything that you are concerned about and mentally put it in the box. Put your fears in the box. Put your worries in the box. Put your anxiety in the box. Put your stress in the box. Put anything and anyone in the box that will inhibit you from having a good restful sleep. Once everything is in the box, close the lid and lock it. Walk away and don’t look back at the box. Then clear your mind and allow your body and mind to sleep. This exercise will help relieve your mind of stress because you have already locked away most of your stress triggers. Practice this exercise every night and you will notice a drastic change in your life.

Yes dear that is correct. They can wake you up and it’s really bad but just sit and try to relax perhaps read a nice book or the bible…been there and done that and still challenging it. I bought myself a book of Angels and it’s wonderful I then go back to sleep.
Wish you only the best.

I dont get it.
Example:: When I drink alcohol Im happy and have NO anxiety. And thats A depressant (as it DECREASES serotonin in the brain) So if depressants take away my anxiety how would an ANTI depressant which produces MORE serotonin in the brain do me any better?
I dont drink a lot or anything, im just saying I dont understand how "lack of SEROTONIN" always causes anxiety.
Anxiety is causes from different sources, depending on what kind of anxiety you have. In a layman's term.. think of it this way:
Everyone has a panic button in the brain. When your brain is working fine, no one pushes the big red button because it says DO NOT TOUCH IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. So, it goes off for things like . AH, there is a bear! or Ah, I am going to fall… etc. So it sends all through the body that it is in danger of living, sending chemicals like adrenaline through the body.
In a person that has anxiety, we have like a Homer Simpson sitting at the desk. He doesn't pay attention because he is too tired from lack of sleep, or got off to thinking about something.. and he leans against the panic button for no reason… or better yet, leaves the job entirely and gets one of those bird dipsy things to do it. So, the panic button is always on alert, so your body is always in distress and your mind is freaking out because of all the adrenaline. So you get frantic, and feel like you are dying becaue your body is always on alarm.
From what I know, it has lesser to do with seratonin, then what it has to do with adrenaline and the malfunctioning of the fear part of the brain. The medicine, or anti-depressant, jogs the brain from hitting the panic button. Why you aren't anxious while drinking? Because it dumbs you down and you lose brain function — ofcourse you can't be anxious when you've numbed all your senses.
My boyfriend and I live in Florida, where we got to school, but we are both from up North (NY and NJ). We try to come home once to twice a year to see our friends and family. But in making this trip (so far we've driven every time but we've decided from now on, we need to fly), we've noticed that he gets severe travel anxiety. He will be feeling perfectly fine until the morning we are supposed to leave and gets very stressed out, sick to his stomach, and all he wants to do is sleep. Is there any over the counter medication. Or even suggestions of perscriptions that we can bring up to his doctor so that we can at least get him back to Florida before classes start on Thursday? Thank you!
valuum, I would suggest he discuss his situation with his doctor and they can decide what's best for him. Usually you doc will work with you to find something. A lot of people have anxiety like that with many things.
