I have a friend who is involved with a married woman. He has never done this type of thing before and he is typically a very moral person. It seems to be triggering some anxiety and depression with him and he feels very guilty and ashamed. It's making him really sad because everything is so hidden and wrong. He's worried all the time. He used to have problems with anxiety and depression, but hasn't in a few years. This situation seems to have affected him very badly, but he is still with her. Could this be considered situational stress and would go away if he stopped the relationship?
In most of the cases affair brings all these.
One of the reason is that-
in most cases either lady or Man choose a wrong partner.
or Any one of the partner want only time-pass / enjoy sex.
or One failed to get engaged with any other guys-
etc many reasong.
Best is to feel, share in any affair.

I have been under a lot of stress lately, and i have also been having diarrhea for over the past week, usually once (sometimes twice a day). Could anxiety and stress be causing this?
Yes, that is completely normal. Make sure that you are drinking enough to replace the fluid that you lose. Feel better soon!

I have to give a presentation tomorrow for class (yes, I have class on Saturday) and I’m so nervous. What can I do to ease my anxiety? I’ve done group presentations before and been nervous and did fine, but this is an individual presentation, so I’m even more nervous. Any suggestions to help calm me down and feel confident about my presentation?
Practice your speech over and over again so that you know what you’re gonna say. Practice speaking in the mirror when your at home so that will build confidence. Keep doing that until you feel comfortable. Take deep breaths tomorrow before you start to speak and never let the audience know you are nervous. Make sure you look at people when you speak or you could pick the back wall to look at and look at that when you are giving your presentation. Just remember to get a lot of rest and eat a good breakfast in the morning. You will do fine as long as you know and practice what you are saying. Pretend like there is no one in the class when you speak and picture yourself speaking to your friends about something. Good luck hope this helps. I’m a very shy person but when it was time for me to give an oral presentation to the class I looked up at everyone and pretended to act like I was confident and it worked. I got and A on my assignment and I was so happy. The teacher wrote that I made excellent eye contact. Take deep breaths and drink a little water before your speech so your throat is clear. Good luck you will do fine:)

Give me your feedback please I have been dealing with this for 6 years.
I’m going through that, and I started taking some supplements:
SAM-e - taken once a day on an empty stomach, then wait 1/2 hour before your next meal.
5-HTP - this is an amino acid that helps to balance your serotonin levels in the brain, reducing anxiety naturally. Take 20 minutes before a meal, or with a meal.
Also take a good multivitamin once a day.
A lot of menopause symptoms are physical, you’re not imagining that it’s stressful…it is! Do what you can to improve your diet, but the supplements helped me within one day! It may take longer for you, but what a difference! Good luck…
I have a panic disorder with agoraphobia that I have been dealing with for many years. I’ve lost my job, my home, and I can’t drive without having them, I am working on agoraphobic situation with cognative behavioral therapy and that is slowly working. I have read plenty about what to do when I have an attack and practice relaxation methods, but what I can’t find is when I can feel an attack coming on, what should I do? The relaxation methods don’t work. Example situations would range from when I go out with someone else driving to go to the bank or when I friend is coming over to visit. I am VERY anxious before these events, sometimes for days prior. I was hoping someone had some methods/advice to help me cope with this. I am happy with the rest of my treatment but I don’t know what to do about the fear of having a panic attack…
Thank you!
I am currently on Klonopin, but am working very hard to get off of it as it does not stop the attacks, I have been on it for about 2 years. I have tried well over a dozen anti-deppressents, each one for at least 2 months, some for years, they did not help, some even made it worse. So, drugs are not the answer for me. I have seen many doctors, and still do but this has been going on for many years, the CBT therapy is the only thing that seems to work.
So it seems that positive self talk is a good method? I have tried and continue to but I have not had much luck so far. Thanks for all the responses so far!
Okay i know exactly how you feel because i went thru that time in my life as well where i couldn’t go anywhere without that anxious feeling and getting panic attacks all of the time, at school at home my life was just a big panic attack. But then i started going to cognative therapy like you are but it took a lot of work and time. You really have to listen to what your therapist tells you to do because it will really work. You can’t stop a panic attack from happening but when it comes you can make it very short and they will keep getting shorter and shorter until they don’t come anymore. My therapist told me when i get the feeling like i’m getting one i feel like i am dreaming i say to myself its okay i am okay, i have gotten this feeling so many times before and nothing has ever happened to me. Then the panic feeling goes away. A panic attack is just you reacting to that feeling, if you don’t react it will go away. So try saying that you yourself when you are getting that feeling. You can do it, it takes work but i know you can. If i did it, so can you. Just listen to your therapist maybe right in a diary, tense and relax your muscles for 10 seconds each 10 times this will all get better it is just a phase. Fight those panics! :]

I am currently undergoing Acupuncture treatment for Depression & Anxiety. The Treatment is going ok, I seem to be really good then really bad, but have a lot of faith in Chinese Medicine so am bareing with it. I have currently had 6 sessions and have been great after some but bad after others. Can anybody advise how many treatments I will need to stabilize my moods, and to be free from Depression & Anxiety?
As things are getting better you should continue for at least another 6 sessions and then assess if you have improved even further; if you have then carry on, if your not it maybe that your accupunturist isnt the best and maybe you should consider seeing a different one.
Definately ask your current accupunturist about how much longer they think you may need.
From the sounds of things it seems to be helping you, if you have been depressed for a long time it may take quite a while for you moods to fully stabalise and you may continue to experiance mood swings for a while but this is just you body sorting itself out so dont worry.
The good news is that once your 100% well you probably wont relapse, especially if you have a 'top up' session every 6months or so after you finish your current treatment.
Please dont give up the treatment, chinese medicine is very powerful and much safer than conventional western treatments and more effective in the long run; so dont believe the sceptics who dont accept scientifically tested fact.
I wish you very success and hope you feel better soon. I had accupunture for a similar problem and it does work - just have faith
Also are they diffrent?
i had panick attacks for 6 yrs, really bad, and all i can tell you is that there can be alot of symptoms b/c usually during a panick attack everything you feel is exaturated and makes it feel like 10 new symptoms but here are some most common
chest pain and pressure
shortness of breath
feeling like your not getting oxygen when you do breath
pain in arms
numbness in arms and hands
feeling unattatched to yourself
sweating
hotflashes
dizzy
easily startled
loud noises seem louder!!!
there are really so many i had a million things going on at once it was terrible i even was put on the heart ward at st vincents hospital for 1 week for tests. the symptoms can be severe or nagging all the time i think i had both. anyways i hope this can help feel free to email me i do have lot of info on this subject
Perhaps I should mention she was exhibiting the preliminary symptoms of an anxiety attack, shortness of breath and whatnot,I just didn't know what was going on and didn't take her seriously. What was I supposed to do?
If she's going through it, what makes you thinks that she know if she hasn't been seen by a doctor?? It could be many things…. Like you/kids/work giving her a lot of stress… Try to help her instead of just sit there playing "what's wrong with you?"
So what, now panic attacks or shortness of breath means menopause??? Well, I guess a lot of us are passed that stage based on your assumptions!!!
Haha! You sound like my husband: She's mad at me, she must be PMSing!!
