Anxiety is due to fear. To overcome fear you have to identify what you are afraid of and then face it . The difficulty may be in identifying it as fears my be subconscious. I also think you are a little obsessed with your health maybe even somewhat a hypochondriac. I especially think this is true if you are young. Fear of dying from ill health may be the fear you have to overcome. If your anxiety persists see a gp physician for possible recommendation to a psychologist or psychiatrist.A panic attack can have symptoms which can be confused with a heart attack.

anxiety attack????? HELP!?

Posted on: 8, Dec

Alright, I have a feeling that I had an anxiety attack 2 weeks ago.
I had this dizzy feeling, an my heart started to beat fast.
I was with my mom, Im 12.
I lied down on the bed, and drank water and felt better after 6-7 minutes
Well, the doctor didn’t know what I was having since it was only the first day, I am overweight, I weighed 68 kilos, and I am 5foot.
Though the day after I started losing weight, eating healthy.
I had another anxiety attack a few days after.
The 2 weeks are up, I haven’t had an anxiety attack in a while.
Though, I still have shortness of breath, and chest pain, and abit of numbness. I used to weigh 68, now I weigh 65.
If I continue losing weight, stayin healthy, and calm the heck down will thes ephysical symptoms go away? are there any natural treatments?
or do I need medical treatment?
People with experience said they didn’t need it, and used natural remedies to heal it.
Though I don’t know those natural remedies.
help ?

Ok these are some tips that work for me:
Keep yourself occupied during an attack. For me sometime playing a video game or typing online or drawing … Something that takes your mind off of the physical symptoms and keeping your hands busy.
Sometimes a nice warm bath can help too. I don't reccomend the shower as much because for me I get too dizzy.
Oh and try to relax and say away from stress if possible.
Practicing deep breathing through out the day can help.
I've found caffeine cause me a lot of anxiety so I cut out a lot.
Try to figure out around when you are getting anxious so you can try to pin point what it is and figure out a way to deal with that specifically.
Meditation and yoga and exercise.
I myself find Praying works.
I do suggest seeing a dr again for further tests to make sure it is anxiety and if need be medication.
I am on a couple thing's for anxiety myself but I have pretty severe anxiety.
Good luck.

First off, talk to your parents. Secondly, a doctor might be able to help. As for natural remedies, there are many. A basic one, as simple as it seems, is to just lie in a hot tub and relax. This will free your mind. Now, there is also aromatherapy, which is becoming quite popular. Hollistic health is also an option. Lastly, just try and get out a bit, get your mind of whatever is bugging you, because clearly something is for you to have attacks like this. Live life!

ive had this chest pain for like 3 days…its not stabbing or anything…it kinda feels like gas is right where my heart is…my arm is NOT numb unless i fall asleep on it which always makes either one of my arms numb..i do suffer from anxiety..so does this sound serious or like its something like heartburn, gas or my anxiety acting up..thanks

Hi! I suffer from anxiety and get the same thing. I find it usually kicks up if I’m having a somewhat anxious day and have eaten something with a lot of acid, or if I’ve drank any kind of alcohol. Here was my first scenario: burning sensation, then I got somewhat of an anxiety attack, which triggers the airways to constrict. I just started taking deep breaths and calmed myself down. I took some Peptol Bismol (or my husbands Rolaids) and it worked. Dr. said it was something I had been eating or drinking recently that caused it. It will happen from time to time, I just re-evaluate what I had the past few days. Myself- I have to watch it when I eat any kind of tomatoes or pickles, everyone is different though. May want to check with the Doc just to make sure!

People with anxiety attacks? IS this one of your symptoms?
something bein wrong with your heart??
I felt something weird into my heart and then I got a anxiety attack a bit after that…is it related?? with people with anxiety attacks? please let me know….i felt like a bubble in my chest or something weird that kept bothering me…maybe its just my axiety?

I have seen too many therapist and they are always telling me heart problems are not a symptom of panic disorder. However according to doctors I have spoke to, they relate the heart pains can be related to stress which is a factor with panic attacks but that is in the cases of before the attack occurs.

And natually after a panic attack due to lack of oxygen and increase beating of the heart, pains are natual to occur during and after.

The main cause for anxiety attacks today are withdrawal from addictions. Some others could be alcohol, thyroid, heredity and chemical imbalances just to name a few. Knowing what may cause your anxiety disorder makes it easier to prevent any type of anxiety attack from taking place.
