Panic Attack??? Do I need to see a dr?
ByLast night I was at a birthday party for my mom and all of a sudden while I was standing there listening to someone tell a story I started feeling really sick, dizzy, and light headed. My hands and feet were tingling and I started hyperventilating. I walked back to my house and felt like I needed to lay down. While I was walking I felt like my heart was racing and I had spots in my vision and ringing in my ears. I layed down and I seriously felt like I was dying and my mom was going to come home and find me dead in the house. I was 100% positive something was terribly wrong with me and I was dying. Thank god my neighbor was home and I walked into her house and told her I thought I was dying and she had me sit down and breathe and drink water. After talking with her I felt a lot better but I was so exhausted. I went to sleep and today I am fine, but I am wondering if what I experienced was a panic attack? And now I am terrified of it happening again. I’m also wondering if it is something I need to see a doctor for or if it could be just a one time thing? My health insurance doesn’t cover any mental health treatment and I’m not in a financial position to pay for expensive psychiatrists and stuff, which kind of sucks. It is so weird and confusing that it happened at my mom’s birthday party where I was relaxed and having a good time talking with neighbors and then just bam I felt like I was dying. Any help would be appreciated since I am so confused and worried. Thank you!!!
I’m not sure if I just have anxiety or full fledged panic attacks like you. For better or worse, I never went to a doctor or psychiatrist or psychologist. What i I try to do is self medicate with information that I find online.

Well first you should still ask your doctor about the symptoms or at least google them to find out what they are. I also suggest eating healthier foods such as whole grains like brown rice or whole wheat spaghetti and plenty of fruits and vegetables and water as well.

Just assuming that it could be related to diet. Diet is what makes you feel good or crappy 100 percent of the time.

I don’t know why you think it’s psychological. Don’t start with the shrink. Go to a regular doctor. You may have unknowingly hyperventilated. You may have low blood pressure or a problem with you blood sugar (hypoglycemia or diabetes). Be sure to tell the doctor about any medicines you are taking.
