Is Shortness Of Breath A common Symptom Of Anxiety?
Posted by: | CommentsThis is a common symptom i experience.
Thanks.
It can be, yes. Anxiety affects different people in different ways. I would definitely go and see your doctor about it as they’ll be the best person to help you deal with it. They may prescribe you something or they may teach you how to deal with it in another way. But definitely go and see them.
Is this type of chest pain normal for anxiety?
Posted by: | CommentsHi I’ve had chest pain on my left breast mostly and it’s always sore or aching sometimes it feels like its my heart and most of the time it’s under my breasts? Like where my bra line is. That’s where it gets tight alot of the times. I know it’s not my bra because it’s very loose but anyways it’s been doing this for a while. It’s sore when I go to bed and it’s sore when I wake up. Can anxiety chest pain do that? Make your chest sore for several days? I am constantly tensing up and worried but is this type of chest pain normal with anxiety? If so how do I get it to go away so I can quit being anxious about it
Yes anxiety can cause this, muscle soreness. If you can feel the pain or change how the pain feels by pressing on it. It is not your heart.
If concerned see the doc.
Take care

This could be several things from your stomach, liver, gall bladder or closer to the surface in connective tissues. It could be fatty liver, liverdoctor.com which is a very serious problem created by what we eat.
You may need a vitamin, or a test done to see what is going on. Don’t let them just start using Ct scans all the time. Make them use ultra sound or MRI, both of which are safer than the damaging radiation of CT scans.
Is this chest pain from anxiety or something serious?
Posted by: | CommentsOut of nowhere not when I’m panicking or anything I get this tightness and discomfort throughout my whole chest. I get the heaviest tightness under my breasts? It’s weird but I also get sharp pains every once in a while but it’s mostly just tightness and discomfort. I always have anxiety but wouldn’t this just happen when your panicking? Do u think it’s an actual problem with my chest? Im trying to control my anxiety and get my life back to normal Its just my stupid symptoms that’s slowing me down.
I had this problem last week and I also have anxiety, and I went to the doctor and they took a test and said it was nothing most likely muscular or just anxiety. Don’t panic, I’m sure its nothing serious, but just to be safe, it may be best for you to just go to the doctor just to rule out anything serious. MOST LIKELY its not but it would probably make you feel better just to know for sure.
What physical symptoms of anxiety do you have?
Posted by: | CommentsI have had severe anxiety for years and just now learned that there are physical symptoms and the body does some crazy and debilitating things under stress bc I realize some physical things I sufferfeo might be from stress I am finally going to seek help but was wondering how others suffer physically…?
Whenever I suffer from anxiety the following physical manifestations happen:
- Increased heart rate
- Flushing
- Stomach pain / bloating
- Dizziness
- Tiredness
- Increased perspiration
These symptoms are present for a variety of reasons. When you are stressed your body thinks it is in danger (like, for example, a lion is chasing you and wants to kill you). In response, your body increases the levels of certain neurotransmitters (such as norepinephrine and serotonin) and hormones (such as cortisol). Norepinephrine raises the heart rate and blood pressure, and serotonin slows down digestion (since the last thing your body needs to worry about when it is in danger is digestion). The effects of these neurotransmitters cause some of the physical manifestations I mentioned above, and it is all due to mental stress and the way your sympathetic nervous system deals with it. Your parasympathetic nervous system will kick in eventually and calm the body down, slowing heart rate and blood pressure and putting digestion back in sync.
Would sensitivity to loud noises be a symptom of a childhood anxiety disorder?
Posted by: | CommentsI go to tons of websites but most of the symptoms are just of panic attacks….the symptoms I do find discribe my 14 yr old would this also be one?
I wouldnt call it a disorder since there are many of us who are for example, light sleepers, and those who sleep through any noise. So your 14 yr old may simply be a highly sensitive person. Is it a girl? If so is it hormonally changing during the month? If it is a boy then is that symptom ( Noise sensitivity ) the main problem or are there others like excessive worry or nervousness? Has it always been a problem or just lately? I would hesitate to apply labels early on since you dont want your child branded but it is good for you to be observant and obviously, you are a very good parent.
The Difference between anxiety chest pain and a heart attack?
Posted by: | Commentsplease help
The main difference is that you can stop or reduce chest pain from anxiety by sitting in a comfortable chair, relaxing/unclenching all your muscles, and taking a series of slow, deep, relaxed breaths for several minutes. If you do this for several (and actually relax the whole time) you should at least see some improvement if the problem is caused by anxiety. This isn’t a foolproof method - some people can’t relax enough to bring anxiety under control, so it doesn’t mean you have heart problems if this doesn’t work.

Does anxiety medicine help all kinds of anxiety disorders?
Posted by: | CommentsI need to know if anxiety medicine helps all kinds of anxiety disorders. My doctor is about to order me some… But i feel so bad. I have all symptoms of every anxiety there is excpet the phobias. Especially guilt over my past. I am 15 and am seriously doubting medicine could ever help me. He is also putting me in counseling which I am worried about. What will they ask me? what if I break down in tears and cant speak? This will happen I know but I just dont know. Any advice?? All advice will help me!
First of all you took a major step by getting help, that takes courage. You have already taken the first step in the right direction. I don’t know what meds that you will be taking but if they don’t work there are other meds that you could try that may help. I’m so glad that you are going to therapy because meds alone may only mask the problem but doesn’t get to the root of the problem. I recommend you read the book, Hope and Help for your Nerves by Dr.Claire Weekes. Don’t worry, you’ll get better.
Would mint tea benefit me with my anxiety symptoms?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m gonna hav anxiety later because of a small event. The worst symptom for me is the urge to gag. Would drinking mint tea before hand help relieve this symptom?
It might calm your stomach down somewhat. If you have any Ginger Ale, you could try that as well. Ginger is very good for sour tummies. Good luck for later.
