Relationship problems at early age can really hamper your mental growth.
But not much to worry, now that you are grown up, try to get over it.
Accept your past first, everyone has problems, you just need to find a solution or an alternative.
Make yourself strong first, take care of yourself and only then you can take care of other things and people that you want to.

The guide below is a Stress Management e-book that can be very useful to you, which will shape your persona beautifully along with making you emotionally strong and good!!

All the best!

So I am 24 and pretty much all my life I have had problems with expressing my self. Usually I get really strong emotional responses, but I am scared of expressing them. This has caused me a lot of social anxiety because I fear people with judge me if I express myself in such a strong manner. Even the smallest things could lead me to have very strong reactions. What can I do to stop feeling like this? It is seriously impacting my life.

you need to start putting your emotions in practice like little by little expressing small things about you or u towards ppl with time you get adjusted , that’s how i did it and now i feel like i am annoying but this feeling is better than the one i had before .

I’m finding it really hard to remember things like the words to a song or what people said to me like two minutes ago. Is it my confidence and anxiety that is preventing me from remembering things or vica versa.

it is normal to forget things that have only just happened, and it seems that your worrying about nothing.

Interested in different opinions about what causes depression and anxiety?
Please share your stories of what helped and/or healed depression and/or anxiety.

I believe prolonged unresolved stress can cause depression and anxiety. I had a lot of stress in my life growing up, both emotional and physical. Therapy and taking medications has helped me feel better. I hope you are doing okay.

I feel like my heart is beating rapidly, even though there is no psychological cause for it, i.e. nervousness. I think the cause is physical, probably dehydration. However, my rapid heartbeat seems to be making me think of things that make me anxious. What’s up with that?

How fast are we talking here? Take your pulse at a resting time and get back to me. To short answer you, if you are already worried and you feel your heart skip around then yes, you will become anxious about your heart skipping. It doesn’t help the already troubled state you’re in to begin with and adds to your stressors. Try to stay as low key as possible. If you think its just dehydration, eat a banana and drink plenty of water or pedialite. Get rest and eat well. No tobacco. This may bring your palps’ to a halt.

I’ve been in a bit of a pickle lately. My girlfriend and I (and possibly soon to be not) have been together for about 9 months now. 3 months ago she became obsessed in an endless cycle of study which ended with her last exam this week. Through all of that she has been pushing her friends out the way and becoming frustrated that I won’t leave her alone. I was continually worried that I wasn’t doing anything to help her feel better, not realising that by actually distracting her I was making things worse and she now hates me.

What I can’t deny is that as our relationship slowly broke apart, I was obsessed with the little things. Kisses on the ends of text messages, not receiving a reply quickly, whether she was online or not, whether she was ignoring me and more importantly, whether or not she was ok. I’ve had to go round her back to find out that she has OCD symptoms. I now question whether my anxiety causes mine in our relationship, or whether it is the other way round.

All of this feeds my anxiety but I can’t help but think that if I wasn’t so obsessed I wouldn’t be anxious. I guess I just really want to know where to go from here as we have both annoyed each other so much, it’s like we’ve reached the point of no return. I’m not going to contact her between now and Tuesday and then I think she will end it. She’s made it pretty clear, I just refuse to accept that knowing how she’s been behaving.

You’ll recover eventually, my brother had a girlfriend for…just shy of 11 months when she broke up with him, he felt better within the next few days. You might just be a bit more sensitive and it’s taking a while longer than normal for you to adapt to these things, even thought she didn’t exactly "break up with you". I don’t necessarily think you have OCD, since from your information you never said anything about other small things that bother you.

As for "where to go from here", try to keep out of contact with her bit-by-bit, talk to her just somewhat less until you reach a point where you know she’s more comfortable as well.

What sounds, or what types of musical notes cause anxiety in people? Example, what do low frequency sounds do to the psyche?

What sounds cause anxiety? What ones cause disorientation or dissociation? I’m looking to find more information on what noises, types of music, and notes cause a shift in psychology.

Does anyone have more info on this? Or resources?

i know that some symphonies can create a really creepy sound with oboes and clarinets if they want to. for example: The Hanging Bulb by Antony Ritchie. ITS THE WEIRDEST THING IVE EVER LISTENED TO and im sure itd create some anxiety. plus the symphony is based along suicide. id give it a listen to!

as for music notes i would say a tritone is the freakiest and most ‘anxiety-casing’ chord. it sounds horrible and just doesnt work for music unless youre going for that stupid 21st century classical s***. Its quite funny actually, this chord was called "the devils-chord" in the renaissance period because of how out of place with the rest of their regular music then. You know what a mass sounds like at a church so you can see why it’d be out of line. I’ll give you a link to what a tritone looks like if you have a piano near you. Hope it helps you out with whatever youre asking!!

As for note shifts i would say decreasing semitones, it sorta gives that eerie as shark attack or ghost like feeling when you play it the right way. otherwise any intervals from 1 - 7. so like A - B, or D - C, play them together or separately they sound weird as and doesn’t work. and also 1-4.5 (a.k.a tritone)

As for general noises any banging from timpanis or just general staccato sounds that are really out there and out of the ordinary or just sound really random. may cause some distress because usually people like to have flowing and/or predictable music like almost all pop music these days

so to round this rant up, just anything out of the ordinary with regular music. staccato notes, loud banging, repetitive and unpleasant sounds and irregular chords.

If you want to get really technical mention an imperfect cadence. Im sure you can look into that yourself :P

GOOD LUCK!!

I’m a 22 year old male living in a two bed room apartment with a 22 year female. Everyday she does something that gets me upset and for the past two days, my heart has been racing because I’m plotting to scare her by making her feel like I’m moving out. For the past two days, my heart continues to race because of anxiety and inticipation. What are the negative effects of a heart racing?

How long is this going to take? If it’s a week or less, don’t worry about it. You’ll be fine. People have had a racing heart for longer and nothing has happened. It would be different if it was like this for years.
