what causes anxiety? I have been feeling weird lately?
Posted by: | CommentsSo randomly my chest with start feeling weird, not where my heart would be, more like in the center and someone told me that it is anxiety, so i was just wondering what might be causing it. Its been doing it for about a week. Nothing new has happened really, i met a guy, but theres nothing to that anymore. My boss just got fired, I als had an interveiw for a job. My mom has been on me about school and work and finding a new job, plus having to do christmas shopping and all that. But i dont know why i would have anxiety over any of those things. Is there another reason why i may be haaving these pains?
Anxiety is really tricky. I have a lot of anxiety issues. Sometimes there is nothing to worry about, and your logical mind is aware of this. But your more animal mind is going to worry anyway and will trigger physical signs of anxiety.
Its really hard to explain anxiety because its so complicated. You might want to talk to someone more professional. There are a lot of strange triggers. For example, whenever I hear my ex’s name I get serious anxiety even though its not like he’s in the room or anything so I don’t actually have anything to fear. Weird huh?
What type of conditioning in the brain causes anxiety and self torment?
Posted by: | CommentsBesides insecurities of course
A victim mindset, when one thinks they are being controlled by outside forces and that they have no control over who they are as a person.
This leads to self-torture. An outsider looking at a schizophrenic, for an example, is able to see that the schizophrenic’s paranoia and delusions are made-up.
Nearly everyone has blind spots when viewing themselves, that another person can see in us, they can see our "holes" so to speak.
Can caffeine and loads of sugar intake cause anxiety?
Posted by: | CommentsOkay, I suffer from anxiety but what I want to know is can caffeine and high sugar foods make it worse. I being serious, I have been drinking coke cola for a about 7-8 years im not kidding. I also eat a lot of chocolate. I think its fine because I don’t put on weight but does it cause anxiety problems to worsen??
Chocolate has caffeine it in. Yes, if you’re having anxiety issues than the coke and chocolate is definitely contributing to it.
Is the prospect of not being in control something that causes you anxiety?
Posted by: | Comments
That depends on whether i trust the person who is trying to get control.
Just because a maniac wants to drive the bus, just because he is very persistent and demanding that does not mean that you should let him drive the bus. It means in fact that you should tie him up and gag him and toss his but off of the bus.
what causes the symptoms of anxiety but isn’t anxiety?
Posted by: | Commentshaving nervousness, nausea and panic attacks for a week but 24/7 and it doesnt go away even when I wake up so what could feel like anxiety but is a physical problem?
Are you talking about phobias? They are an irrational fear of something, and you often don’t know what it is you are afraid of.
What do you think causes anxiety or anxiousness in young children?
Posted by: | CommentsAnd do you think there are long term effects of having a disposition as such?
Esp Asian children. parents tend to give the image of conditional love and thats what my dad is. my dad only cares about how much my math or sci grades are and not about other important things. when i got a A+ in sci, he said all these mushy things that i didn’t pay attention about, and when i said i got c in math, everything changed in a flash. conditional love, stress, and maybe in the genes. like me, sometimes i get so scared about the silliest things like how the world will just gradually spin outta control like a frisbee and i’ll die or something like that, but i learn to take more control, relax, and overcome. ok, sorry i gone off topic, but my point is, the stress of everyday life and getting the love of parents.
What causes anxiety attacks, and how can I prevent them from happening?
Posted by: | CommentsMy name is Alex, I’m 17 years old, and every now and then I have anxiety attacks. They don’t last very long, but when I have them it feels unrealistic. I could be doig something special and worth while, and out of nowhere I have an anxiety attack. I get short of breath, dizzy, sometimes nausea, and it feels like I’m going to die. From the reasearch I have done, it seems I need to look into anxiety medication, but at the chance there is something else I can do to stop these, or have them less frequently, I would be extatic.
Focus on positive thinking. Watch the documentary called _The Secret_ (2006). Here’s a description:

Can lack of sleep cause anxiety and paranoia?
Posted by: | Comments
Sleep deprivation can result in an altered mental state of mind. Essentially, a great many things can come from a lack of rest, including decreased energy, fatigue, and decreased mental alertness. My advice to you? Get some well earned rest and keep yourself hydrated.

What is the exact change in hormones that cause anxiety before women get their periods?
Posted by: | CommentsI heard that a drop in progesterone causes the insomnia that a lot of women get before they begin menstruation, but what hormone is responsible for causing the anxiety before menstruation? I am looking for a particular hormone. Not a remedy, or anything like that. What is the hormone responsible for anxiety and PMS.
That too is due to a drop in progesterone, since progesterone has a calming effect.
