Is a symptom of depression or anxiety, an involuntary smile and flushed cheeks?

By admin

I get this, and it oddly makes me look pleased, when I am the opposite

I’d say its a symptom of anxiety.
I have social anxiety and i find myself doing this all the time.
When does it happen?

Does this occur when you feel embarrassed or awkward? If so, I don’t believe this is really a symptom of anything. It’s quite normal to blush when you’re feeling shy or embarrassed, and smiling or even laughing is also quite a common reaction.

No - I wish that was my only symptom of depression. You are fine - probably just a way your body reacts to feelings of awkward or upset. You have to laugh to keep from crying - its a very popular saying and I assume it has some meaning behind it. I would look it up - cheer up.
