What are the best methods and tactics to stop panic and anxiety?
ByI have been having anxiety and panic attacks for almost a year now. I am 16 and a male. Sometimes I can get over this cycle for a couple months or days, I don't no how but when i'm in this mindset I really need some tactics or methods to help me eliminate them. When I have gotten over them I know how good it feels. Please help.

whenever you have a panic attack, breathe deeply. very deeply, and sit down and put your head in between your legs. it helps.

i don't have it, but some medicine could help, if not, try to approach a stressful situation differently, like, if you get a bad grade, either think, and make your self believe you don't care, or it's only 1 test, big deal, but obviously, this won't work for a random attack, just try to calm yourself, close your eyes, think good thinks, and control your breathing so it's slow, and keeps your hear rate low

do stuffs that'd keep your mind off from your situation:
play basketball;
play exciting games in the computer;
(that one makes me forget im hungry, i forget to eat lol)
watch funny movies;
and if you have great friends and families,
go out with them every time you have the chance;
anything that redirects your mind from what's making
you uncomfortable, anything at all that makes you happy

root cause needs to be identified. a sincere listener would help you find the cause and get rid of it. suggesting a shortcut way: in many cases fear of ghost drives you panic stricken until you just turn about to face the ghost. from that moment it disappears.

The one thing that helps me the best is to be in a dark room by myself. close your eyes and take deep breaths. Now think of something that calms you and makes you happy. I always picture a bunch of puppies rolling about. lol I know gay, and I'm such a girl but hey it works! The point is take a little bit of time and compose yourself. At school,a bathroom stall may be the only place you can get some composure but its better than nothing.
P.S. I sympathize, perhaps a counselor could help you get to the root of why you have panic attacks and help form solutions.
