I have been having anxiety/depression issues. Emotional Detachment, plz help!?
By adminOkay, I know that this isn’t the place for proper medical help, but I’m just asking for personal experiences, knowledge, etc. I’ve been dealing with anxiety issues since November, and (mild) depression problems for about 6 or 7 years. My depression has worsened since the anxiety started. I’m getting treatment through medication and therapy, but I have a new symptom. I’ve been increasingly becoming detached from my mother lately. When she nags me to do something, I feel more irritated then usual. I’ve even have had mini anxiety attacks and anxiety induced thoughts about hurting her (which have diminished somewhat since treatment) I’m not sure what this means…any thoughts???!!!

Tell her to lay off.
Idk, seems like your anxiety and depression issues are making you overreact to little things. The best thing you can do is tell your therapist and mom.
