How do you know if you need to take anxiety pills?
By adminOne of my friends told me they think I have anxiety. And that maybe I should talk to my parents about it. but im nervous to. I get angry over the littlest things. Like if the counter isn’t cleaned off, or the floors dirty, and annoying people. I also get angry and start yelling at ppl over things that I shouldn’t even yell about. I yelled at my boyfriend cuz he was joking around. And I don’t know what to do? Help?
Sounds like a mood disorder, but not anxiety. Anxiety is more like, stress out, pace a lot, never stop worrying, have panic attacks where it feels like the world is about to end, hyperventilation, shaking, crying jags over nothing, inability to face minor challenges.
You could be bi-polar or maybe just going through some changes physically, hormones are crazy.

Sounds like you have anger issues, not anxiety, so maybe talk to your parents about that.

that doesnt sound like anxiety to me. I have anxiety and I took them when i wasnt able to even leave my house without crying hysterically and hyperventailating. I was always worrying about everything and couldnt make it to school. Im currently on a medicine that was started early december and seems to be helping a little. Yours sounds more like intense PMS. anxiety is more worrying

Take yourself to a doctor and let him/her diagnose you. Maybe it is lack of sleep, or stress…could be lots of things you don’t need pills for. A friend means well, but they don’t have all the right answers.
If a doctor prescribes something for you, you know you are to take them. Don’t just take anything you can put your hands to…it could kill you.

are u sure u think its anxiety?
if u think thats wat u may have, the only way to no for sure is to talk to someone.
if u talk to ur parents & they agree, then maybe u can talk to a counselor once in a while,
because by hearing everything u have to say they can tell u if thats wats wrong.
& if its something thats really starting to bother u, & interfere wth ur life everyday,
they can prescribe u some medicine to help.
but if its really not too bad then talking to a counselor now & then is still a good thing to do.
