HM…I HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME WITH THIS ANXIETY PROBLEM!BEST ANSWER!?

By admin

If you have really serious anxiety problem, are you afraid of telling your lover about it?
is it because your lover will go away? is it because your lover will be scared of you?

My bf recently told me that he has anxiety problem and he usually goes to see his family doctor.
He also told me that he wondered and worried how i would react…
Since I love him, I told him that I do not mind whether he has anxiety problem or not.
Last week, my bf and I were supposed to meet but he did not show up because he wasn;t feeling well….(because of his anxiety)

So, after that day, we met and I gave him shoulder, neck, face, and back massage. I gane him a big hug and said that "*** you can tell me how I can help because I want to be there for you"

Am I doing well? I am going massage his hands (habd acupressure for his anxiety) would it be excellent for him?

It sounds like you’re doing alright for him for now. I have a panic disorder, and I know it is very hard dealing with it and relationships at the same time, especially with inadequate care. I cannot count how many relationships it has ruined, actually. The most important thing that I personally need from people close to me (and probably your boyfriend needs this too) is that they don’t pressure me into situations that I feel uncomfortable in, and that they never make me feel inadequate for having the condition. Learning to cope with anxiety is a personal learning/growing experience, and everyone should be entitled to go at their own speed (as long as they are trying).

Although anxiety disorders have their ups and downs, sometimes they just will not go away by themselves, and when that happens and it starts to interfere with your own happiness, it is time to seek better help. If he does this sort of thing frequently, then I recommend that he see more than a family physician. After ruling out other physical conditions that could cause anxiety, I would recommend him to a psychiatrist that he trusts to start therapy, meds, or a combination of both.

Your doing good! Be careful to not push him.
Yes it is normal to not tell your significant other. I didn’t tell my husband about my OCD (in detail) till a year after we were married and we had been best friends for 11 years.
