Can writing down your thoughts/worries and how to solve them help anxiety?

By

Writing your thoughts, hopes, dreams, worries..etc.. is helpful…It can relieve stress and anxiety. It can help you fulfill your dreams by seeing them in writing it can help you understand what you need to do to achieve them. By writing your worries on paper sometimes you may realize there is nothing you can do about it and move on or you may find an answer by reading your problem plus it gets it out of your head which is really what it’s about…..My husband suggested that I keep a journal about everything that bothered me then go back and read it every few months and if any thing that i wrote still bothered me then I should confront the person or situation to solve the matter…It works..most of the time things that bothered say 2 months ago either got resolved through God’s intervention and they were no longer an issue so I tore the page out and burned it which to me meant the problem was gone so let it go and forget it.

I’ve seen that most people tend to feel better after doing that, but everyone is different. It might fix one person’s anxiety completely, whereas for others it only makes it worse.

For some, yes. We all have different ways of relieving anxiety. I would suggest trying this, and seeing if it works for you.

It’s always a good thing to become aware of what might be worrying you, and for you, it might be beneficial to clearly see them in front of you.

Meditation will help – also deep breathes.
90 percent of things you worry about will not happen. Try to think positive.

I’m not an expert or nothing but I’m sure it can do. If you write them down and try and figure out ways to solve em on paper and not in your head it’ll be more helpful because if you think you have a way to solve it you’ll worry less. The brain never stops thinking and it’s healthy to worry sometimes unless you’ll be some weird sociopath with no conscious. Try it. It can’t hurt can it.
