Any natural supplements, well foods/drinks to help with anxiety derealization?By
I have derealization which is normally controlled by my anxiety medicine that I take.It seems like the beginning of every other month I experience derealization that last maybe for a week or two or three. I don’t know what brings it on, it just comes on when it wants then goes away whenever it feels like it. It could be anxiety from being laid off since june and still not being called back to work or trying to get into grad school for next semester or all the bills that I have to pay and the $ that I don’t have. If I weren’t on my medicine I’d be panicking non stop and it’d be much worse than it is. I’ve looked up all the foods and drinks that I could that help anxiety and made a list of them and plan on going to buy them tomorrow. Anyone know of any other remedies for derealization/anxiety.
I’m going to second the physical activity and exercise suggestion, it can work wonders. Do it every day. Also realize that there is one very important time to engage in exercise, that is when you really don’t feel like doing it, that is the most important time to engage in exercise. I’ll explain why that is. It’s because not only is exercise important, self discipline is also a vital component of getting out of this funk your in. With those two things together, you can’t lose. Of course, I don’t know what foods/supplements your using. One thing you might consider is a substance called St. Johns Wort. Many studies, especially ones conducted in Germany, show it to be as effective for depression/anxiety as many SSRI medicines. In the U.S. it’s available over the counter in health food stores. Follow the directions on the bottle, and be sure to discuss it with the doctor prescribing your anti anxiety meds. Good luck with this, please feel free to email me through Y!A.
