HeLP PleAsE! Anxiety issue…?

I am absolutely horrified of presenting in front of my class. i am a high school student and i am not shy but presentations get to me. I have two presentations coming up and i need some tips for this thank you! =}

just remember that everyone has to do it and you’re no different from them. using that conclusion just suck it up and do your best :)
try to prepare a presentation beforehand with some flash cards.
and remember look at the people not your project.

I have problems talking to people I don’t know..
I’m really shy..
I have problems asking girls out.. It’s like a self esteem issue..

QUIT CRYING!!! Life always moves forwaed NO MATTER WHAT!!! It does not care about ANYONE. Be HAPPY with who you are and realize that not everyone is going to like you, just as you will not like everyone that you will come in contact with in life. that is just the way it is.

if you want a woman, they do not want someone who does know what they want or know who they are in life. also, think of it as this. a lion in the jungle DOES NOT have time to second quess itself when going in for the kill. if it does, then it will not capture its prey and it will STARVE!!! i am not say go out and harm women, but be CONFIDENT with who you are and CONFIDENT that you can get that girl. if she doesn not like you for whatever reason, then it is her lose and there are WAY TOO MANY FISH IN THE SEA!!! just keep on trying and you will find people in your life who will appraciate who you truley are, but you have to appreciate YOURSELF FIRST!!!

I am thinking of getting medication for what I currently consider as moderate depression and anxiety. I believe that the more natural, the better when it comes to depression and anxiety medication. I always read about anxiety and depression medication as having some pretty serious side effects. That is why I’ve been thinking about getting a cannabis permit (I’m in CA) to help me relax a little.

I am interested in a few of your experiences with weed and anxiety/depression and if it helped you.

I don’t want it if it won’t help me.

Cannabis has been known to worsen anxiety in those suffering from mental disorders. The first study in my sources says "Weekly or more frequent cannabis use in teenagers predicted an approximately twofold increase in risk for later depression and anxiety". The second study says "Frequent cannabis use is associated with increased AD in young adults independently of whether the person also uses other illicit drugs."

Cannabis has also been found to be a trigger for psychoses. 3rd study: "cannabis is an independent risk factor for schizophrenia."

4th study: "lifetime cannabis dependence is significantly associated with an increased risk of panic attacks."

As such, I would not recommend that anyone with any history of mental disorders would use cannabis.

Over the past 4 years ( 4th grade- 7th grade) so far I have been getting worried about EVERY little thing that is wrong with me. I worry about getting cancer, dieing. and stuff like that. I am always searching symptoms and worrying about them all day to the point i almost cry. I always think I have some terrible deadly diese.

This sounds like Hypochondria which is a mental problem in which those who have it do exactly as you do and have the same fears. Why don’t you discuss your excessive worries with your mom or your school counselor. Therapy would help you overcome this. There are numbers that you can call that are staffed by professionals who can help you. One is 1-800-4ACHILD that number is for teens also and 1-800-273-TALK.

my friend has major anxiety problems. they are stressed a lot of the time what kind of things help to reduce stress? for someone with anxiety disorder and overall high anxiety? like i have thought of a stress ball for them, lavender lotion, stuffed animal any ideas? anything you can tell me about post traumatic stress disorder, and panic disorder thank you:)

Anxiety.please help.?

lately ive been suffering from anxiety but these couple of days that past i have been pretty chill and not thinking of what caused my anxiety but i still feel symptoms.!!is that normal.??

not much you had explained about what are you worrying about and made you feel anxiety.regarding to your statements…..i guess you are having maybe a big problem or less then make you think it too much and when you reach a stress level…..of cause you will feel anxiety.then you are trying very hard also to make yourself go out from that situation….and you got it when you said you felt pretty chill just a few days before because you were not thinking about the big watermelon’s problem inside your head.you success to put it by your side for a while but until when?so to terminate the symptom of anxiety.that is only you know how to do it.find out your title of problem then think nicely and wisely to solve it.don’t make the anxiety feelings manage your decision to solve the problem.the anxiety will disappear when you output the main factor which donate to your feelings.

Did Xanax help you with social anxiety?

What things couldn’t you do with your anxiety before you took this medicine
And what things did it help with. It is really hard for me to make friends and i am in high school and i want to make friends for the new year. Also how much xanax takes affect

I have been on different doses of xanax for about 3 yrs now - it started out as an "as needed" prescription at a low dose (.25mg) and I took it 2-3 times a week on average. I am now taking half a mg 3 times a day, but have been up to as much as a full mg three times a day. My doctor sees a very good likelihood of me being xanax free one day. As far as how much xanax it takes to take effect, depends on the person, the type of stress, and the level of anxiety. Before you can expect others to like you and be your friend, you have to learn to like yourself. And you probably do have some problems with depression which is oftentimes the main cause of anxiety. Most of the time, if an anti-depressant is prescribed, and anti-anxiety med isn’t even needed right away.
