severe anxiety any help!!!?

okay soo i have severe anxiety… i barely go anywheres! im 16 and homeschooled because my severe anxiety. i have this weird fear of seeing people i know i just hate it! i feel like the only way im gunna get rid of it is if i move away! any tips?

anxiety is a vicious cycle… u fear something.. makes u anxious.. being anxious makes u sick… then u fear it even more… etc etc.. i have meds and a counsellor and a psych… it helps a little…

im 13 i have bad anxiety!!! my parents a re divorced and im picked on at school and i have school problems and issuses!!! i get anxitey attaks and i have stomach problems from stress i jusst got tested for a ulcer!!!!! bc i get stomach problems!! my stress was so bad i skipped my period!! and i dont know how to stop my stress and anxiety and i always feel like there somthing wrong with me!!!!! how do i stop the anxiety?? iv tryed meditation and i get massages and my nails and faicials done and i take time to breathe and relax time to my self to try to releve my stress and anxiety but nothing works what should i do to help me relax and chill???? and foods or things i can do somone help me please!!!!! idk what to do!!!!! what can i do to relax?? and what can i do to stop my stomach problems and anxiety????

I have problems with my stomach because of the anxiety.
I have found reading Anxiety for Dummies to be useful.

Anxiety is horrible. Speak to a doc about how to control it (without drugs).

so i have anxiety and depression but, i don’t know what to tell the doctor but, that my stomach hurts and it makes me feel home sick. when i was little i would cry at a friends house and mom will pick me up and it stopped. i think i worry about dumbd thungs and i can’t achieve ged prep classes as i dont want to go since the thought of having to go makes me sick. i need to know what this is.. i am on klotopin and zoloft right now. all i know is that it comes and goes. but some days its here all day long. the knots in my stomach were so bad, and i felt like i had to cry or needed my mom, make since??? i hope you can help me! is this a feeling if dreed or just anxiety? i can’t work as i cry since i have to go. and when i do work it never last as this feeling comes over me like i am in a strangers house and i want my mom. its the same feeling as when i moved into a new house, before surgery, almost like im lost in the woods and 5 years old. i am 25 and feel like a baby that i can’t go to ged prep classes since i feel like i need to make excuse not to go. i hate the way my stomach feels and it literally makes me cry to the point where i feel i dont want to live. i told the doctor all of this but when my stomack feels like it i feel overwhelmed and just cry. please help
well, the feeling stilll happens when im on meds. i have had it for years but recently its gotton worse. why does it make you feel the same way you feel when you are little and home sick

I’m not a doctor nor can I recommend what to do or take to help this problem. What I can say is the pain you’re feeling with your stomach aches is the exact same pain I’ve been having for the last 3 months. I woke up and went to bed every day with my stomach feeling knotted and uneasy. I realized my problem was anxiety. I couldn’t control my mental state, I thought about a girl every second of every day resulting in my stomach hurting whenever I wasn’t talking with her, I ended up losing her a week ago. I made myself sick thinking of her, I cried whenever something reminded me of her, and that’s what I think is happening to you. You’re thinking about everything in a dramatic state. The only thing that worked for me was to find a way to be comfortable with whatever you’re doing or whatever that’s going on at the time. I can’t say how to feel that way cause I really don’t know, I just kept pounding into my head the thought of everything will be fine. You’re definitely not alone.

My daughter is 4 and a half month old and I know its young but I’m starting to think she has separation anxiety.
Lately, whenever I put her in the car and start to drive she would scream and cry hysterically but as soon as she sees me again she would stop. This has just happened recently so I know there’s no issue with the car seat. Also the car seat is designed to be use as part of the pram and she is fine sitting in it but as long as she can see me.
Also, she would usually nap for around 2 hrs each nap, these days it only lasts for less than an hour and I know she’s still tired because she would be cranky easily. There’s no problem with her self settling because I don’t rock or feed her to sleep. She’s usually put down awake and falls asleep on her own.
At nights, she usually sleeps though but now she wakes up twice a night. I would feed her, burp then cuddle then put her back in her crib and she would fall asleep.
Sorry for the long question.. Do you think this is separation anxiety? or a growth spurt? She’s already went through her growth spurt at 3mths but I’m not sure if this is another one.
I just want to clarify that I hardly hold my daughter. At home, she happily plays on her bouncer or playmat and I go about doing my thing. When she hasn’t seen me for a few minutes she would whinge until she sees me again.

It is possible because she is now entering the phase of learning object permanence. That is learning that just because you can’t see something doesn’t mean it ceases to exist. Playing peek-a-boo from around a corner or behind something can help this along. This allows her to see you disappear and reappear in a fun way. Try also giving her something to latch on to like a blankie or stuffed animal to help her feel comfort. Play soothing music and talk to her in the car to help. Give her some playtime on a safe mat or in a child safe seat on her own with you nearby but not interacting for short periods. This helps her realize she is her own person and not just an extension of you. I know this can be frustrating at times, but realize this means she has been very loved and loves you very much. Just wait until she doesn’t want to be at your side constantly or, heaven forbid, be seen with you in public! LOL. This time will pass and with gentle teaching and loving support you both will get through this. Best wishes to you both!

This has been going on for two or three months! I am fed up with it! I do have a psychiatrist and I am on cymbalta for depression. She told me that the cymbalta helps with general anxiety too but it obviously isn’t helping my anxiety…. I go back to see her next week. Should I ask her straight out for Ativan or something? I don’t know how I am going to be able to function much longer without it.

take a tylenol pm be4 u go 2 bed, and start smoking weed once a day

I m a 30 year old man,happily married,and generally upbeat,but for the last month i ve been suffering from sleep anxiety.I ve been using phenergan on and off for a while,it does help but i don t want to use it long term,and i certainly dont want to take anything harder.Its really starting to effect my life,as in my thought process,work,sleeping in seperate room to my wife etc.Never had a problem sleeping before,ever! thats why its so strange.Can anyone help me please??

Insomnia may be caused by many things, even seasonal changes sometimes. First thing to do, (even if it sounds silly) don´t feel so anxious about not sleeping, this will only contribute to go on with the vicious cycle of not sleeping. If phenergan is working stick with it until your insomnia is gone; to get rid of it, do it slowly; for example take half of it for a week, and then stop taking it.
Physical activities, specially swimming are great for insomnia, at least go for a walk when you have the time. Just don´t practice any physical activity near your bed time or it will only energize you more.
Try to read a book before sleeping, but don´t read it in the same room you sleep, when you start to feel sleepy, go to bed. Waking up at the same time, even on weekends also help to overcome insomnia.
Now, if phenergan is not working anymore, you will have to ask your doctor to prescribe something stronger. Don´t worry, he will give you the right dosage and there´s not real danger on becoming addicted to them or anything like that; after all, a physician will be controling what you take.
Good luck and don´t worry, you´ll be fine. Chances are you´re just very stressed out and need some vacations.

Okay, I know that this isn’t the place for proper medical help, but I’m just asking for personal experiences, knowledge, etc. I’ve been dealing with anxiety issues since November, and (mild) depression problems for about 6 or 7 years. My depression has worsened since the anxiety started. I’m getting treatment through medication and therapy, but I have a new symptom. I’ve been increasingly becoming detached from my mother lately. When she nags me to do something, I feel more irritated then usual. I’ve even have had mini anxiety attacks and anxiety induced thoughts about hurting her (which have diminished somewhat since treatment) I’m not sure what this means…any thoughts???!!!

anxiety! what to do? please help me!!?

im only 14 ive had chronic anxiety attacks for over two years an they have only gotten worse…i have refused to go to the doctor because im against them putting me on a bunch of meds… tonight i had my worst of all its lasted over two hours strait! what are some techniques i could use to help calm down from now own because i cant keep going through this!?! HELP ME PLEASE!

Deep breathing, yoga, excercise. You can take a benedryl they use that at times to help with anxiety. It is an over the counter allergy pill. Good luck and God Bless

What can someone do if they have anxiety?

I have anxiety and I feel awful a lot of the time. I really don’t want to go on medication but would it help? Does anyone have or know someone with anxiety who has taken medicine for it? How did it affect you or that person?

There’s various options for anxiety.

If you have panic attacks, there are medications called Benzodiazepines (an example is Xanax). There are shorter acting as well as longer acting options in this class. Some things to be aware of - these are addictive and should not be used with alcohol.

You can also use an anti-depressant (Prozac, Wellbutrin etc.) for more generalized anxiety.

Personally, I’ve only taken Xanax at a very low dose, and that is the only thing I have tried. I didn’t really notice much of an effect.

Whether a medication will work for you is very much variable. The only way to know is to try different things and see. If you wanted to do this, I would recommend a psychiatrist because they are much better versed in the various options and any potential side effects to look for.

There’s also other non-medical options, such as some type of therapy with a psychologist or social worker to learn some coping techniques.
